In the past 2 years generative models have developed from being a purely scientific interest to a powerful set of techniques with real product impact. In this talk, Tim, Research Scientist at Google, will share his perspective on the rise of generative models, and the underlying scientific techniques that enable them. In particular, he will focus on the work his team has been doing in developing the next generation of diffusion models for images and video, and how to make them efficient using model distillation.
