A two-day immersive learning experience inspired by Vienna’s pioneering work in gender mainstreaming. This special edition of the Feminist Placemaking Academy explores how participatory revitalization, spatial justice, and community-led design can transform underused public assets into inclusive, intergenerational third places. The program culminates in an in-depth visit to Aspern Seestadt, Vienna’s first neighborhood designed with gender mainstreaming principles at its core, offering a living case study of feminist urban planning in practice.
