Sinds 2009 organiseert WhyNot een tweejaarlijks festival om de dans scene open te breken en hedendaagse dans- en performancekunst op een andere manier te presenteren. Interdisciplinair, veelal buiten het theater en altijd met beweging als uitgangspunt. Van 22 t/m 25 januari staat de zevende festivaleditie in het teken van het lichaam en architectuur, van beweging en begrenzing. Hoe kijken performancekunstenaars en choreografen anno nu naar de rol van het lichaam in relatie tot het innemen, geven of definiëren van ruimte? Wat betekenen grenzen, fysiek en cultureel, voor onze bewegingsvrijheid? Vier avonden met dans en performance, live muziek, installaties, films en workshops op vier bijzondere locaties in de stad: Wo 22 jan | Bimhuis met o.a. From January 22 to 25, the seventh festival edition focusses on the body and architecture, on movement and boundaries. How do performance artists and choreographers nowadays look at the role of the body in relation to occupying, giving or defining space? What do boundaries, physical and cultural, mean for our freedom of movement?
