How do I become an EMPA member?

Go to www.eumdphd.com and proceed to "connect" and "EMPA membership". Here you can sign up for an annual EMPA membership subscription.

What is the EMERALD program?

It is an international PhD Programme for medical doctors with the aim to train and nurture physician-scientists. They have recruited 24 medical doctors to carry out a PhD in cutting-edge research in European centres of excellence in life sciences and biomedicine.

How can I be reimbursed for the conference costs?

Submit your scientific abstract for a presentation. Many universities will pay your conference, travel and accommodation costs if you have been selected for a poster or oral presentation.

When will I know if my abstract has been selected for a presentation?

Accepted Answer

We aim to have the selection process complete by October 1st 2023. We will contact you through the email that you introduce in the registration form.

Question 6

How can I modify my abstract after buying the ticket?

Accepted Answer

Go to your confirmation email, "order summary" and click on "view and manage your order here". It works best to do this on your computer. This will bring you to Eventbrite, once you have logged in, go back to your ticket and click on "edit" at the right upper corner.

Question 7

What does the conference ticket include?

Accepted Answer

The ticket includes access to the conference on both days as well as the conference dinner on the 26th of October. Housing must be organised by the participants individually, however we are happy to provide help and recommendations where needed.
