Thought leaders from the international business community and knowledge institutions will explore, together with the public, the possibilities for maximizing the growing potential.

Green proteins - that seem to have a flourishing future in store - will not only improve sustainability and health, but also help build the circular economy that promises to add value for both consumers and entrepreneurs. It is no longer the time to explain why it is so urgent to transition to more-sustainable sources of protein; there is now a pressing need to implement new ideas. Prepare to be inspired by the leaders of the green protein revolution.

Summit speakers include Matthias Krön (Donau Soy association Europe), Gert Jan Gombert (Vivera), Isabel Boerdam (Week without Meat), Jeroen Willemsen (The Protein Cluster and Green Protein Commissioner), Thomas Felice (Algama) and David Ingemar Hedin (Euromonitor International). In addition there will be numerous acceleration sessions, product/idea pitches and tastings ranging from edamame and vega mayo to seaweed and green doner-kebab. <H2>Sports & Nutrition</H2>
Awareness of the impact of personalized nutrition on sports performance is gaining ground in the (inter) national sports and (sports) nutrition sector. Other sectors are also keen to apply this knowledge and cutting-edge development for target groups such as the elderly and those in medical care. On 11 October, the focus is on presenting the latest sports nutrition concepts, technologies, products and international marketing opportunities for professionals in food, sport and a healthy lifestyle.

During the summit, top speakers from AgroParisTec and Valorial (France), Innova Market Insights (NL), Teagasc (Ireland), Generade (NL), Wageningen University & Research (NL), Hogeschool Arnhem and Nijmegen (NL), KNVB (NL), Team NL Performance Nutrition (NL) and Maastricht University (NL) will all be presenting. And visitors will find inspiration in the product pitches by Jaco Pieper (Koupe), Simon Branch (Herbalife) and Mark Tuitert (First Energy Gum). During the summits, Enterprise Europe Network is providing an international B2B Matchmaking Service. Visitors to the summit will have the opportunity (once they have booked a ticket), to create a free-of-charge ‘search’ account which enables them to make appointments, via both the website and the app, before and during the summits.

Foodvalley Summits are organized by Foodvalley NL for all food industry professionals. Taking part in the summits are executive managers, process and product developers, ingredient suppliers, food service and business caterers and research institutions.
