About this event
Recently, to be exact during the last lockdown, the artist Francis Sling wrote several poems about life experiences and being perfectly imperfect. To present these to the “world” Francis is organizing an event called F*Perfect.
What is F*Perfect?
F*Perfect is an art presentation based on twelve poems. Francis calls them sketches because he’s convinced that everyone should feel free to sketch, which is ultimately the only way to achieve a masterpiece at the end. The art performances entail poetry, music, fine art and will be presented over 4 evenings and two afternoons end of November 2021 at Bitterstraat #1 in Scharloo.

Francis Sling (Curaçao, 1979) is a visual artist, living and working in Curaçao.
His art is an exploration of the human condition in general. Human beings are in a perpetual pursuit of happiness. This universal phenomenon is the very thing that flows continuously into his art, his work is at the very least seductive as well as captivating with an equally strong message. Francis is a self-proclaimed poet that not only uses his brush to express his colourful poetry on canvas or any type of surface he’s drawn to, but also by playing musical instruments alongside composing and writing poetry.
Francis' vision: Through his art, to push the boundaries and convey the message of what’s possible for humankind in general and to contribute to the promotion, development, and increasing of awareness of the Island’s Art beyond the borders of Curacao and the Caribbean.
