Q1. Is this session really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes — participation is completely free, and there is no sales pitch during the session. Afterwards, I share an optional donation link for those who'd like to support this work. Whether to give, and how much, is entirely up to you — and giving nothing is perfectly fine.

Q2. How do I receive the Zoom link?

The Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants the day before the session. Please check your spam folder if you don't see it.

Q3. I've never meditated before. Can I join?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — this session is designed with complete beginners in mind. There's no "correct" way to meditate, and nothing to prepare.

Q4. Do I have to speak or share?

Accepted Answer

We will start by briefly introducing ourselves, however,  sharing after the meditation is always optional, and listening quietly is a perfectly good way to participate.

Q5. Do I need to keep my camera on?

Yes, please. This is a live, shared experience rather than a lecture, and sensing each other's presence is part of what makes it feel safe and connecting. If that's difficult for you this time, you're warmly welcome at a future session — they're held regularly.

Q6. Can I join from outside the Netherlands?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the session is on Zoom, so you can join from anywhere. Just double-check the time: 10:00–11:00 AM CEST (Amsterdam time).

Q7. What should I prepare?

Accepted Answer

Nothing. Just a quiet, comfortable spot — and your favorite drink, if you like.

Q8. Is this therapy or medical treatment?

Accepted Answer

No. Mindful Self-Compassion program is a psychoeducational program, not a treatment. If you're currently receiving mental health care, please consult your practitioner before joining.
