The Functional Forum is a monthly education and networking event for health professionals (consisting of doctors, practitioners, coaches and therapists) who are passionate about the Evolution of Medicine. This monthly event brings together the latest health news, functional medicine research, practice development and health technology in an upbeat, entertaining way.The Functional Forum curates the industry’s leading innovators in a new mixed-media format that combines interviews, TED-style talks, videos, audience interaction, and music. We scale our influence through empowering community in every corner of the globe, encouraging and facilitating meet ups around this monthly content.Our Functional Forum meetups are monthly events taking place at rotating locations in The Netherlands (i.e. Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam). Our goal in organising Functional Forum meetups is to create a space where holistically-minded health professionals from any scope of practice can get to know each other, network, discuss topics of interest, discover the latest clinical research and develop referral networks.

Dear friends of the Functional Forum meetup NL,
We’d like to invite you to our 5th meetup. 
It’s going to be a special event! 

When?
Thursday, July 2nd 7pm
Please note that we switched to a different day.

Where?
This meetup will take place in the beautiful personal training studio, OMNIA in Amsterdam. If weather permits, we can even enjoy their garden as well. (See picture below).

Program
19.00 – 19.10: Welcome
19.15 – 19.45: Movement! 

OMNIA has a special team of trainers, consisting of a physiotherapist, a fascio stretch therapist, and two deeply trained personal trainers. Together with Karen Nijssen (our personal trainer FFNL co-host), they will share some of their knowledge and perspectives on Functional Movement and Training. They will speak about why building a strong foundation is important and how to educate your clients on this. You&#x27;ll learn about the basic elements of fitness. These involve variety, muscle strength, flexibility, and endurance. And the big role that muscle strength, mobility, flexibility, and variety play in work-outs. 
19:45 – 20:15: Get all your questions about exercise and movement answered.
If you already have questions about exercise and movement that you&#x27;d like to be discussed on July 2nd, let us know in advance. So we can tailor to your needs.
20.15 – 20.30: Wrapping up and greetings

How to get there:
OMNIA can easily be reached by public transport. 
You could also choose to use P&amp;R Amsterdam Noord:
Park your car for EUR 1 for 24 hours and take the subway to Vijzelgracht. From there, it’s a 7-minute walk to OMNIA. When exiting the parking, scan your OV card so you’ll only have to pay EUR 1. You have to give evidence you’ve actually been in the city center.

Local parking costs are EUR 7,50 per hour.
