Join us in Amsterdam for our last session of the summer! A slow evening outside enjoying the garden, while drawing a model from life.

We're thrilled to bring you a summer life drawing session in Amsterdam, hosted in the beautiful community garden <a href="https://www.icanchangetheworldwithmytwohands.nl/" title="https://www.icanchangetheworldwithmytwohands.nl/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">I can change the world with my two hands</a>. We'll slow down for the evening, coming together to draw outside, making the most of the evening light and the warm weather.You can expect a relaxed and intimate setting, 2 hours of drawing a model from life, the chance to meet new people, the chance to spend two hours away from the world simply drawing what's in front of you.As always, drawing materials will be provided, and no pressure to create perfect drawings. We welcome all abilities and all ages; children, or those who don't regularly draw are encouraged!Ticket fees run on a sliding scale from €15-25 in order to be as accessible as as possible. Prices are adjusted each session to cover the costs of our model, location, materials, and transport. If you're able, please consider supporting our initiative by paying a slightly higher ticket price, as this all goes towards the sustainable running of future sessions. Drawing runs from 18:30-20:30You're welcome to arrive from 18:00 to get settled and explore the gardenfrom 20:30-21:00 we'll have a moment to chat and look at what each other have created About the garden:The 1200 m2 site of I can change the world with my two hands serves as a laboratory where community building, ecological living, collaboration, alternative economics, values and questions such as 'how to live now?' are explored. About Nice Flaps:<a href="https://niceflaps.com/" title="https://niceflaps.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Nice Flaps</a> is an artist initiative formed with the unanimous aim to gather and observe together, to provide time to concentrate, to look, to be, without an outcome in mind other than contemplation itself.We offer non-taught, experimental drawing events generally with a model, perhaps two; mostly naked, sometimes in costume; alone in the room, or mingling among props and sets. We collaborate with artists, institutions, and other artist-run spaces, and challenge the parameters of life drawing by asking: What does it mean to draw from life? How can it affect our daily perception of the world? Our programme therefore expands beyond traditional life drawing that technically trains artists, instead creating comfortable welcoming spaces where first-timers and regulars alike can take part in an art event and share a collective moment with others.Nice Flaps has been running since 2019 and is organised and curated by artists <a href="https://annemariewadlow.com/" title="https://annemariewadlow.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Annemarie Wadlow</a> (UK) and <a href="https://alelooma.com/" title="https://alelooma.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Alejandra López Martínez</a> (ES).
