Gattaca (Andrew Niccol, 1997)
Film screening, followed by open discussion. A good opportunity to talk about many relevant issues in a relaxed and informal setting. Free.

This time we have a science fiction classic:
Gattaca (Andrew Niccol, 1997)
The film depicts a dystopian future in which everyone is genetically enhanced, except the protagonist.
In a world driven by (genetic) determinism, we see our 'misfit' protagonist struggle to pave his own place. What drives him so? And, is it in spite of, or because of his preconditions, that he is able to resist? This is a movie about the typical "indomitable human spirit" - but it also humanizes the defeats one may experience or even self-impose.
Free entrance!
We meet in the SKLO building (Kraneweg 33, Groningen) - first floor (upstairs, room 13).
Open doors from 19h.
# ~ Save the dates! ~ #
The coming film evenings:
- Friday 10th April 2026 (Florence Foster Jenkins)
- Friday 8th May 2026 (Music Box)
PS: Getting a ticket here is not necessary, you can also just come along :)
