About this event
- Event lasts 1 hour
At this year’s World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF), Triodos Bank will host an accelerator session examining the role of institutional frameworks in advancing the circular economy worldwide. The growing demand for natural resources is depleting the planet’s reserves and degrading ecosystems. In response to this Triodos Bank has continually called for a shift from a wasteful, linear economy to a restorative, circular one.
The session explores institutional frameworks: laws and policies directly addressing circularity, as well as broader measures limiting resource extraction, promoting nature conservation, taxing negative externalities, and encouraging sustainable production and consumption. What works and what doesn’t? And who is driving the transition towards circularity, governments or businesses?
This event is an accelerator session at the World Circular Economy Forum 2025 (wcef2025.com). On social media, you can follow the event with #WCEF2025.
