God as Nature

God as Nature

Woonwerkpand TetterodeAmsterdam, NH
Monday, Mar 2 from 7 pm to 9 pm
Overview

A lively, guided discussion of illusions of separation and why God and cosmos are one.

God as Nature

Traditionally, we separate God from nature. God is transcendent - surpasses natural order and is not bound by it. Nature is beautiful and constantly evolving - but it's not perfect and might perish in the end. Mystical experiences, however, deliver a different message - they reveal that God and nature are one. In this Philosophy Salon, we will think carefully about this idea. Who is God if God is one with nature? And what is our place in nature if it is divine?

Meeting Information

Doors open at 18:45 and close at 19:10. Please be on time! We won't be able to accommodate attendees arriving after 19:10.

Philosophy Salons

The Philosophy Salons are gatherings of curious people to explore big ideas with an open mind. The Philosophy Salons are organized by Anya Farennikova, a philosopher of mind based in Amsterdam. We dive deep into beliefs and ideas, dive out, and have fun along the way!
