On Saturday the 19th of July you can join us for a Gran Fondo Social Ride. What is a Gran Fondo? Quite simple, a Gran Fondo is a long distance cycle ride of 100km+.
This ride is a bit different from what you are used to from us. Since we will be riding 'rondje Morkermeer' which is approximately 140 kilometers. During this ride, it is important that you are trained. We will do this ride at a pace of about 31 kilometers per hour and a drop policy applies. So make sure you show up at the start with fresh legs!
We will gather at Ride Out at 09:00 am for a cup of coffee and leave at 09:30 am for our ride. Ride leaders from team Ride Out will take you out on the road. Apple pie and a coffee during a stop is included.
Upon returning, there will be time to chat at the bar and watch stage 14 of the Tour de France and a beverage is included. This stage leads the riders from Pau into the heart of the Pyrenees, featuring the legendary Col du Tourmalet before a summit finish at Superbagnères. With multiple brutal climbs and a high-altitude showdown, this mountain stage is set to shake up the general classification.
For this ride group, riding experience is required and a helmet and clipless pedals ar mandatory. Participating is at your own risk.
