Graphic Design Fair

Nieuwe Instituut is het nationale museum voor architectuur, design en digitale cultuur. Nieuwe Instituut houdt zich bezig met de grote ontwikkelingen in de maatschappij, zoals de krapte op de woningmarkt, de energietransitie, de opkomst van kunstmatige intelligentie, mobiliteit of het gebruik van de publieke ruimte. Ontwerpers, waaronder architecten en digitale makers, kunnen aan die ontwikkelingen een belangrijke bijdrage leveren. Nieuwe Instituut toont het werk van ontwerpers, brengt mensen met elkaar in contact, verzamelt, ontwikkelt en deelt kennis.

Find a variety of two- or three-dimensional offerings during this edition of the Design Fair, entirely devoted to graphic design.

After two open-air editions of the Design Fair, the Nieuwe Instituut is organising a third edition this winter: this time taking place in-house and entirely devoted to graphic design. For the Graphic Design Fair, the institute is joining forces with NAi Booksellers. Find a variety of offerings, two- or three-dimensional, on paper or digital.You often only see the final product; a book in the store, a rug on the floor or a business that is (or appears to be) successful. During the fair, visitors get a glimpse into the process, from the beginning of the commission to the finished product.Up-and-coming and established designers such as Printroom, Mark van Goss, Yasmine van Maasakker and Joseph Hughes will take you through their making process and sell unique items. Plus, NAi Booksellers is holding winter sales in the Auditorium. You can also amongst others take part in a zine-making workshop (with duplicate copies of architecture and design magazines from the Research Centre's collection) and there will be short presentations showing what lies behind the polished, considered final work.Admission to the Graphic Design Fair is free. Normal admission prices apply to visiting the exhibitions.ProgrammeThe Graphic Design Fair is from 12:00-18:00 hr.
