Hebrew Taalkeuken: Cook & Learn with Dor — A Night of Jewish Vegan Cuisine

Step into our cozy Taalhuis Amsterdam kitchen and join our teacher and “chef for one night” Dor for a delicious cultural experience! This hands-on Jewish cooking workshop combines food, language, and storytelling — perfect for anyone who loves to cook, learn, and connect.

Together, we’ll explore the heart of Jewish home cooking as we prepare a traditional Shabbat dinner — featuring freshly baked challah and flavorful vegan dips made from eggplant and tahini.

🧑‍🍳 What you’ll learn and do:

  • Bake your own vegan challah, the soft, slightly sweet braided bread served at Jewish Shabbat dinners.
  • Prepare delicious Middle Eastern dips like smoky eggplant salad and creamy tahini.
  • Pick up Hebrew cooking vocabulary and fascinating stories about Jewish food traditions.
  • Enjoy a relaxed shared meal (‘borrel’ style) while chatting about Jewish culture, cuisine, and language.

This 2.5-hour interactive cooking class is all about connecting through food and culture — no prior experience needed, just curiosity and appetite!
