<p>These are 1-hour  sessions for journalists where we gather to deepen our understanding of different issues related to well-being  at work and mental health. We&#x27;ll learn and put into practice different tools and strategies, share and support each other. </p><h2>A culture of silence: How gender impacts journalists&#x27; wellbeing and mental health</h2><h3>Session with Guilherme Valadares, Founder of PapodeHomem and Instituto PDH</h3><p>Is there a culture of silence in journalism? How does gender, race and masculinity intersect with that? How can we create newsrooms in which people are welcome to talk about their mental health and in which it is a priority? After all, our best and most creative work needs healthy minds and hearts. In this session we&#x27;ll examine these topics and offer practical tips and ideas for you to explore, individually or in groups.</p><h3>About today&#x27;s expert guest, 	Guilherme Valadares:</h3><p>Founder of PapodeHomem and Instituto PDH, an online platform 15 years strong, dedicated to the transformation of masculinities in Brazil. He is an Emotional Balance teacher certified by The Santa Barbara Institute for Consciousness. He is a researcher, trainer and speaker on issues at the intersection of mental health and journalism. He has traveled around the world on a &quot;Journalist of Vision&quot; scholarship to deepen understanding of these territories in different cultures and contexts.</p><p></p><h3>Making this event accessible to everyone</h3><p>At The Self-Investigation, we strive for making our events and activities as accessible as possible.
