Inner Climate Workshop @Impact Hub
Event Information
About this Event
Are you working hard on the worlds most pressing problems?
But finding yourself starting to lose heart, burn up or close down in the face of increasing urgency?
Do you want to relax back into your inner source and reconnect to working from love and trust?
Then join our ‘Inner Climate Change’ workshop:
November 25th from 18.00-20.30 CET @ The Impact Hub Amsterdam.
In this interactive workshop, facilitated by Impact Hub member Leonie Stekelenburg, you will:
- Learn more about how we are wired as human beings and tend to get stuck in fight/flight or immobility
- Develop greater awareness of mind-body warning signals to pause for inner sustenance
- Practice the courage to fully feel the reality of the challenges you face right now
- Experience somatic exercises as a way to relax back into your inner source
- Discover various practices to reconnect to what you love deeply
- Let love (not anger or fear) fuel your actions
- Explore what sustains you to keep feeling the love
- Hear more about the ‘inner climate’ practice group – planned to start Feb 2020
- Hopefully leave the evening feeling reconnected to each-other and the sense of being in this together!
About facilitator & Hub member Leonie Stekelenburg:
Ever since reading the Club of Rome reports in 1995, Leonie has been on a mission.
She is “Living the question” – as Rainer Maria Rilke put it – “how can we come to deep collective change for a just and sustainable ecosystem for all living beings?” On her journey “living her way into an answer”, she mastered different mind, heart and body tools, like:
- Systems thinking: System Dynamics modelling; Sustainability models (SDG’s, Doughnut Economy)
- Psychology & spirituality: Behavioral change, neuroscience of habit and addiction, Mindfulness, buddhism
- Bodywork: bio-energetics, somatic experiencing for releasing trauma
- Collective change facilitation: Art of Hosting, Deep Democracy, Meshworking, TheoryU
- Finally, needing a way to relate to the challenges we face without losing heart, she found solace in Joanna Macy’s ‘work that reconnects’.
Much of Leonie’s work builds on Joanna’s approach.
Leonie is founding partner of Mindfulbizz: helping leaders and business train inner heart and mind power for radical outer change. She is married and a mother of 2. Her 3 boys are her greatest loves: fueling her actions for a sustainable and just world!
