We live in a world of disruption and jagged change, a world that faces problems on a scale humanity has never dealt with before.

In this talk, Oliver Davies argues that to tackle those problems we need new ways of thinking. We need to learn how to think in deep time; we need to seize the opportunity to build the future. We need to become time travellers.

This talk will explore concepts applicable to all entrepreneurs, and anyone interested in innovation and future thinking.

Oliver Davies is a lecturer, a designer, a storyteller, and a futurist.

“I was lucky enough to work on some of the biggest selling games of the 1990s, at companies such as Rare and Sony, before embarking on several years of freelance writing and design, where I built up a huge degree of experience in pitching, business development and working with a range of media and technology companies. Since 2002, I’ve also been working in education and doing my best to inspire a new generation of media professionals…

My areas of expertise are creativity, futurology, transmedia, gamification, and narrative - and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and my enthusiasm.
