International Clinic: Fair Practice

Nieuwe Instituut is het nationale museum voor architectuur, design en digitale cultuur. Nieuwe Instituut houdt zich bezig met de grote ontwikkelingen in de maatschappij, zoals de krapte op de woningmarkt, de energietransitie, de opkomst van kunstmatige intelligentie, mobiliteit of het gebruik van de publieke ruimte. Ontwerpers, waaronder architecten en digitale makers, kunnen aan die ontwikkelingen een belangrijke bijdrage leveren. Nieuwe Instituut toont het werk van ontwerpers, brengt mensen met elkaar in contact, verzamelt, ontwikkelt en deelt kennis.

This edition of International Clinic will tackle all questions dedicated to Fair Practice.

What is fair practice? How can you use it in your work? How can you help create a fairer design and culture sector? And how does fair practice work in an international context? We will discuss these questions through a conversation with practitioners and cultural organisations, next to breakout sessions with fairPACCT.The Fair Practice Code in the Netherlands is a moral compass for anyone working in or with the creative sector. Enjoy free access to the exhibitions between 17.00-21.00 and a Thursday Night Detour at 19.00.International ClinicsThe International Clinics provide a platform for Netherlands-based designers to gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities, challenges and best practices of working internationally. The International Clinics are organised on a quarterly basis with partners DutchCulture, Creative Industries Fund NL and the diplomatic network. In addition to learning about different opportunities, the clinic enables creatives to share international knowledge, experiences and networks in order to stimulate and sustain meaningful collaborations.
