2. One who embarks on a quest for something conceived of as sacred.

Jarno van Es has a special love for pianos. Whether they're old or new, completely out of tune or in perfect condition: every piano is unique and to him, they're all sacred. From this love, Piano Pilgrim was born. Jarno traveled to various corners of the world to find random pianos and then improvise on them. Tonight, he's settling in Eindhoven. Jarno's music is abstract yet emotional. He's not afraid to explore the uneasy but does so in an accessible, inviting way. His music demands something of the listener but for those who aren't afraid, a wonderful adventure awaits.

Jarno will also be playing with a band tonight, developing his musical ideas into a lineup with two drummers and a bass player.

The evening consists of two sets with a short break in between.
