A glimpse into the musical world of Den Bosch-based bassist and composer Kees van Schijndel (1999), who released the EP Unknown Space in 2021 and his album Nhamvidash in 2025. A refreshing mix of down-to-earth jazz with influences from R&B and folk, in which three saxophones and vocals create an open sound and where lyrical melodies and groove take center stage. His eight-piece band – partly originating from the Brabant Jazz Orchestra – will play music from both the EP and the album, supplemented with previously unperformed repertoire. Een kijkje in de muzikale wereld van Bossche bassist en componist Kees van Schijndel (1999), die in 2021 de EP Unknown Space uitbracht en in 2025 zijn album Nhamvidash. Een verfrissende mix van nuchtere jazz met invloeden uit R&B en folk, waarin 3 saxofoons en zang een open sound vormen en waarbij lyrische melodielijnen en groove de hoofdrol spelen. Zijn achtkoppige band - deels voortgekomen uit het Brabants Jazz Orkest - zal de muziek van zowel de EP als het album spelen, aangevuld met nog niet eerder uitgevoerd repertoire.
