Are you new to programming? And are you ready to invest in your career?

Come and be introduced to the jobs of the future and learn the basics of web development! This workshop is designed for coding beginners.

Organised as a part of the TechConnect Week (see below), this workshop aims to support those who want to train themselves for the future job market.

What you will learn
In 2 hours, you will learn to use HTML and CSS to code your own landing page. The teacher will first explain the basic concepts of web design and show you how to code with HTML and CSS. You will then do some coding of your own and build a webpage. You will be guided throughout the workshop.

When you leave the workshop, you will have

• Your first landing page

• The tools to build the rest of your website on your own

• Resources and skills to keep learning further

Who can attend

• This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to learn programming, whatever your educational background, working experience, age or gender.

• No prior coding experience is required.

• Download Sublime and Google Chrome (if you don't have it already)

It aims to make tech jobs of the future accessible to the labour market in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. TechConnect is an initiative of the Amsterdam Economic Board.
