🎥 Lessons to be Learned
Justice Without a Home
// Lawless Land(s), Voiceless People
Global Shapers The Hague warmly invites you to the second event in our ongoing series examining the cracks in international (humanitarian) law, and the urgent need to center justice, not just legal process.
After previous sessions exploring the failure of international law and the importance of justice education, we now turn to one of the most painful and pressing questions:
What happens when people are displaced, and the law doesn't follow?
📽 Film Screening: No Other Land
🌍 Followed by a panel discussion on the real-world gaps in legal protection and accountability.
No Other Land tells the story of residents of Masafer Yatta, facing forced displacement under the shadow of international indifference. It is a story of loss, of land, of rights, and of the promises law was meant to keep. It is also a story of resilience.
What does justice mean when there is no safe ground to stand on?
When laws are silent, and the world looks away?
When those affected are voiceless, not by nature, but by design?
🗣 Our panel will bring together activists, legal experts, and community voices to reflect on:
The failure of international protection mechanisms
The role (and limits) of legal frameworks
How law can, and must, serve people, not power.
We’re not here for titles. We’re here because we believe another world is possible, one where we are all considered one, and injustice no longer finds a place to settle.
