Madhouse Orchestra: Bruckner's "Apocalyptic Symphony"
Overview
"No great mind has ever existed without a touch of madness." - Aristotle
Bruckner's 8th Symphony, the "Apocalyptic", like never before: one of classical music's largest, most mesmerising and most powerful works, repackaged into a unique chamber-symphonic version for 16 players. This carefully preserves the original power that the work exudes, while exposing a new, more intimate side to the work that exposes the music's soul to the listener.
The Madhouse Orchestra is an international festival ensemble of world-class professional musicians, who play in orchestras around the UK and Europe. Each musician has a unique playing style and musical personality, but as a symphonic force they prove that music is the true international language.
Join conductor Fergus McAlpine and Madhouse for an unforgettable evening of music by Bruckner, Delius and Johann Strauss II; discovering what makes this music so incredible and why it's relevant in today's music scene.

F. Delius: Sleigh Ride
J. Strauss: Wein, Weib und Gesang
