The programme will be presented by Robert J. de Boer. Sidney Dekker will contribute online each day for at least an hour to introduce the topic of the day and answer questions.

Who is Sidney Dekker?

Sidney Dekker (PhD Ohio State University, USA, 1996) is Professor and Director of the Safety Science Innovation Lab at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia, and Professor at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at Delft University in the Netherlands. More at www.sidneydekker.com.

Times

The programme will run from 8:30 to 17:00 each day from Tuesday to Friday except the final day when we close at 12:00 to allow everyone to travel home. We expect participants to arrive on Monday for a timely start on the first day.

What about refreshments and lunch?

Coffee / tea breaks and a one hour lunch break are scheduled. Lunch is included in the cost of the programme.

Drinks

Welcome drinks are held on Tuesday afternoon from 17 - 18 hours, immediately after the first day. Included in the cost of the programme.

A group dinner (included in the costs of the programme) is planned for Thursday evening. Details to be forwarded during the course.

The workshop will be highly interactive. The group size is therefore limited to a maximum of 30 participants.

Accomodation

Accepted Answer

Participants are asked to organise their own accommodation. There is an allocation reserved at the venue but participants are free to choose an alternative. Please do make an effort to be on time at the start of each day. Please mention "Master Class Safety Differently" when booking at the venue.

What did previous participants think of the master class?

We haven't organised an English language master class for a while but the reactions at the time have been very encouraging, with a Net Promotor Score close to 90% (that's really high). The Dutch editions for healthcare that we ran  with Medirisk in 2022 and 2023 likewise generated much enthusiasme.
