Medicine Damiana Tea Ceremony with Handpan Sound Journey

You are invited for a Medicine Damiana Tea Ceremony and a Handpan Sound Journey on Sun, May 28 from 11-13 at the beautiful yurt of Mahara in Amsterdam. This is specially for those who are interested to explore traditional and natural healing medicines, in a ritual for connection, health benefits and soul with live music by DJ/Musician Leela. The theme of this ritual is around Damiana plant spirit for 'Self-love & Femininity' (all genders are welcome). It's with an intimate small group max 10 people.

Hailed as an aphrodisiac by the Ancient Aztecs, Damiana tea is a naturally caffeine-free herbal plant used for thousands of years in Native Central and South America for its mellow effects and refreshing flavour. It's often known as love lotion. This is functional plant medicine (non-psychedelic) through a moderate and small amount, but you will be likely to feel the mild effect of heart-warming, opening, loving and connecting to yourself and surroundings (functional).

For the mindful Tea Ceremony (‘Cha Dao’, the way of nature through tea), Leila will present blue lotus tea and guide you through a tea meditation that cultivates mindful process and fluid flow in a harmonious atmosphere that brings us together and improves our taste bud and senses, health and soul. This ancient way of appreciating tea and nature has been around for thousands of years originally from China as well as in America where Damiana are natively from and appreciated. Tasty, fresh and healthy sweets will be paired with the tea to enhance the senses.

Handpan and other instrumental tunes by musician/DJ Leela will create a peaceful yet grounding atmosphere throughout and after the ceremony, taking you on an inner, meditative and sound journey. For especially those who seek to slow down your busy life and to be more present in the moments, this combination of Tea Ceremony, Damiana Plant and Live Music will be a great way to set a relaxing tune for the week ahead.

This combination evolved from exploring ancient practices, the passion for mindful living and expanding our consciousness through plant medicine. We enjoy supporting each other and co-creating a healthy, mindful, creative and loving lifestyle. We will share Sunday together in a connected, safe and beautiful setting.
