My Mother Blessing ceremony is a heartfelt, soulful alternative to a traditional baby shower — a gathering that focuses on the mother-to-be, her journey, and the deep connections she shares with her loved ones.

A Mother Blessing is about honoring the woman as she steps into motherhood — with warmth, intention, and love.

It’s a meaningful experience that your friend will cherish long after her baby is born.

✨Rituals of blessing and connection

This is a time to pause, to celebrate, and to surround the mom-to-be with love.

Through heartfelt and meaningful rituals, we’ll honor her journey into motherhood — with words, symbols, and gestures that speak straight from the heart.

It will feel like a little ceremony created just for her.

💖 Blessing Garland

One special part of the Motherblessing is the Blessing Garland — a beautiful, personal keepsake that we create uniquely for her.

Each guest receives heart-shaped pieces of paper to decorate with colors or drawings.

You also write blessings and loving messages for the mom-to-be, and then we string all the hearts into one long garland.

The result is a stunning and deeply meaningful piece — full of love, encouragement, and support — that she can hang in her home and see every day.

🕯️ Candle ritual – 12 months of light

Another beautiful moment of the celebration is our Candle Ritual. Each friend decorates a candle using candle pens, creating together twelve unique candles — one for each month of the baby’s first year.

Every candle carries a small message or blessing, a reminder that the mother is surrounded by great friends throughout her first year of motherhood.

They are like little lights of friendship that keep glowing through all the waves of life with a baby.

🍵 Tea, treats, and time for connection

Of course, we’ll also share tea, delicious little treats, and plenty of time for conversation and connection.

There’s space for laughter, stories, tears, and joy — for simply being together.

It’s not just a celebration — it’s an experience that will stay in her heart long after the day itself. 💛

🎨 Painting the mom's belly

Together you create a little work of art on the mom’s belly — a colorful celebration of her pregnancy and the baby soon to arrive.

🧘‍♀️ Yoga Nidra for relaxation

A deeply calming guided relaxation that helps the mom-to-be (and everyone else) to fully unwind, rest, and connect with a sense of peace and presence.

🕯️ Decorating a Birth Candle

Each guest contributes to decorating one special candle that the mother can light during labor — a symbol of strength, calm, and the loving circle around her.

📿 Making bracelets of connection

Everyone creates a small bracelet to wear until after the birth — a simple yet meaningful reminder of togetherness and support for the mother during this special time.

🕰️ Duration: 2 to 2¼ hours

📍 Location: At your home in The Hague (or surrounding areas like Wateringen, Westland, Delft) or at a cozy venue arranged for you (e.g. De Ruimte in Zeeheldenkwartier)

💶 Cost: 280 Euros

(+0.35 €/km outside of Den Haag or +40 € for De Ruimte)

The ceremony includes:

• A talk beforehand to tailor it to your wishes
• Guided Mother Blessing ceremony with all beautiful rituals
• All materials (candles, candle pens, paper hearts, decorations, and everything else we might need)
• Setup and cleanup
• A beautiful group picture of you all 📸
