About this event
Did you notice that your voice is more free when your body is also free?
Did you notice that breathing supports this?
Your voice lives in your body-they are a pair!
***
We’ll explore the relationship between,
breathing, sounding, and moving in the training.
“Move the Voice In Your Body”.
Your pelvic base can be the root of the power and sound.
***
THE POWER OF SOUND:
Sounds, not even words, transmit a very clear impression and feeling:
Imagine the sound of a sigh in deep relief, or a sudden scream of joy.
The voice can very quickly reveal emotions, and it is a portal to free expression.
We’ll not be singing, but sounding:
And feel that our bodies are the resonance space for the sound.
Be prepared to also use gibberish and free-flow words during moving.
THE PROCESS:
Freedom to explore & Freedom to mess up
There is no right or wrong,
only space to explore in playful exercises.
We will first sound/breathe alone, in the safety of the group body, then also as one whole group, work with partners and in small groups of three.
Very important: to feel free and uninhibited to make sound!
What most often gets in the way is not the technique,
but the inner judge, the critic:
To be shy, to be heard, not being confident enough, to hit the “right” tone… etc…
We’ll dance these inner devils, and make them go away
by play and poking through the shell of inhibitions:
Come prepared to enjoy yourself and be surprised by yourself and the others.
IF YOU WONDER:
What does the pelvis have to do with making sound?
