Over the last few years we have faced the inherent inevitability of change. Unfolding realities, societal issues, political struggles entangled with techno-ethical questions demand from us, humans, to transform and mutate. Following recent world events, we have learnt that we are not alone in the world, not in control, and that our destiny is inseparable from other lifeforms – mysterious, unexpected, and cunningly powerful.
Four distinctive makers were invited by Catchpenny ensemble to create new audiovisual works. Taking a multi-disciplinary approach, they create video scores that guide the musicians while also being projected to the audience as live video art. A twofold challenge, in a search for new perspectives, new identities, a new future.
We perceive music as a model for change and for metamorphosis. A way of worldmaking, a vision of life and sustainability in an ever-changing reality. We invite contemporary and electronic music lovers and visual-arts oriented crowds to dive into an immersive universe of sounds, images, and unfolding narratives, and to unravel layers of reality and futurism in an explosive audiovisual extravaganza.
