Een van de drukstbezochte plekken van Rotterdam is de bibliotheek: hét kenniscentrum en culturele podium van Rotterdam. Natuurlijk kun je boeken, muziek en films lenen, maar ook voor activiteiten, workshops, goede studie- of werkruimte, het huren van een zaal of bijwonen van een voorstelling ben je welkom.

NLKom naar een Caribische avond vol mythologische poëzie!Ben je ooit door het lezen of schrijven van een gedicht vervoerd naar een mythologische plek? Of heb je je ooit gerealiseerd, terwijl je een voordracht hoorde, dat wat je meemaakt alleen maar beschreven kan worden als een spirituele ervaring?Poëzie heeft een speciale manier om onze collectieve verbeelding te ontsluiten. Mythen brengen ons samen als een gemeenschap. Met deze mythologische open mic nodigen we je uit om samen met ons en je favoriete gedichten van SSSABC-dichters met ons te delen en samen een mythisch rijk te creëren.De Open Mic volgt op de Mythological Imaginations Poetry Workshop [link naar evenement] gehost door Juneal Holder [link naar website], ook gehouden op 13 april in de Bibliotheek Rotterdam, van 13:00 tot 16:00 uur. De perfecte kans dus om te oefenen met schrijven of een paar gedichten te schrijven voor de open mic avond.
