Event description

Description

The Dutch National Student Orchestra is coming to Berlin! Supported by the Rectores Magnifici of all Dutch Universities, the orchestra will visit Berlin to celebrate the excellent bonds between the TU Berlin and the Dutch Universities by giving a festive concert in the Konzertsaal of the Universität der Künste on February 15th, 20:00.

The concert is part of the tour the orchestra makes during the month February. 103 young and talented students from all over the Netherlands pause their studies for a whole month to perform classical music on a very high level in the most beautiful concert halls in the Netherlands and abroad. Under the baton of the renowned conductor Arjan Tien and with the famous violinist Maria Milstein, the orchestra will perform the following program:

'Barazah' - Hawar Tawfiq (composed for the orchestra)
Violin Concerto no. 1 - Sergei Prokofiev (soloist: Maria Milstein)
Symphony no. 7 'Leningrad' - Dmitri Shostakovich

Conductor: Arjan Tien

You are warmly invited to visit the concert. For our concerts in the Netherlands, visitors pay €22,50 for a ticket. However, the orchestra wants to ‘meet’ a new public in Berlin, and will therefore 'sell' the tickets for €0. Just be sure to bring your ticket to the concert (printed or digital).

Start concert: 20:00, doors open at 19:30
