Online R2 Introduction Workshop 2026: Basics

The R2 platform (https://r2platform.com) is an open-access platform for omics data analysis and visualization, designed for (biomedical) researchers without the need for programming or bioinformatics expertise.

Explore a hypothesis in over 3,000 public datasets -including TCGA, DepMap, and GTEx - or work with your own data through an intuitive, researcher-friendly interface. Collaborate with colleagues in private groups or share your manuscript analyses publicly.

This workshop provides a basic introduction to the most commonly used R2 analysis modules, key concepts to navigate the platform, and tips for tailoring the platform to your research needs.

14:00-16:00 Presentation
Overview of R2’s key concepts and essential functionalities, including:

• basic platform navigation
• visualizing your data through various plot types
• performing data analysis pipelines by interlinked follow-up analyses
• working with custom or analysis gene sets and annotations
• frequently used omics modules
• collaborating and sharing analysis results

16:00-17:00 Hands-on sessions and R2 expert Breakout Rooms
Work directly on the platform or join R2 experts in Zoom breakout rooms to discuss research questions, data uploads, recommended analyses, or feature requests.

This workshop is ideal for researchers who are:

• studying disease pathways
• seeking tissue-specific biomarkers
• investigating protein function
• comparing molecular profiles in subgroups (e.g., genomic, transcriptomic, epigenomic, proteomic, metabolomic, lipidomic profiles)
