Open Paviljoen: Elemental Femme II: Rooted Rebels

In deze driedelige serie, genaamd Elemental Femme, begeleidt Liana Kachakhmadze je door drie verschillende yoga-sessies, elk gebaseerd op een ander deel van de tentoonstelling Life On Earth, die te zien is bij West Den Haag in de voormalige Amerikaanse ambassade. De Life On Earth tentoonstelling is gewijd aan ecofeminisme en gaat over thema’s als vrouwelijke belichaming, empowerment, adem en weerbaarheid. Deze thema’s komen ook voor in Liana’s yoga-sessies. Deze sessies vinden plaats bij het Open Paviljoen en worden gecombineerd met een interactief bezoek aan de relevante kunstwerken tentoongesteld in de ambassade. Let op: de yoga-sessie is in het Engels.

Rooted Rebels

Voel de aarde, voel je roots. In de tweede sessie van Elemental Femme, bewegen we samen met de Rooted Rebels - een gegrond yogaritueel dat weerstand en verbinding verkent, en het lichaam als land benadert. Je zult begeleid worden door aardse Yin en Yang yoga, je adem balanceren, bos-meditatie, en bomen knuffelen, om zowel je innerlijke stabiliteit als voorouderlijke herinneringen op te wekken. Neem een klein, natuurlijk offer (blad, steen, bloem) mee, alsook je blote voeten. Vind inspiratie in de manier waarop de ecofeministische beweging de bescherming van land en voorouderlijke kennis aanwakkerde.

In this three part yoga series, Elemental Femme, Liana Kachakhmadze will guide you through three different yoga sessions, each based on different parts of the exhibition Life On Earth, currently on show at West Den Haag in the former U.S. embassy. With its focus on ecofeminism, the Life On Earth exhibition taps into themes like embodied femininity, empowerment, breathing and resilience. These are expressed and worked with in Liana’s yoga sessions too. The sessions, taking place at the Open Pavilion, will be combined with an interactive visit to the exhibition and the relevant artworks in the embassy.

Rooted Rebels

Feel the soil, find your roots. In the second gathering of the Elemental Femme series, we move with Rooted Rebels - a grounding yoga ritual exploring resistance, connection, and the body as land. You'll be guided through earthy YIN & YANG Yoga, balancing breath, forest meditation, and tree hugging rituals to awaken deep inner stability and ancestral remembrance. Bring a small natural offering (leaf, stone, flower) and your bare feet. Get inspired by the way in which the ecofeminist movement promoted land protection, ancestral wisdom, and the whisper of the forest.
