Carolien Adriaansche vertelt over haar nieuwe werk Kunststof 734, een site-specific werk van Haags plastic afval, dat zij speciaal maakte voor Voorhout Monumentaal. In deze presentatie is er ook aandacht voor eerder gemaakt werk waaronder De Blauwe Stad in het Groninger Museum, drijvende steden en nieuwe biodiversiteiten geïnspireerd op de collecties in natuurmusea. Adriaansche werkt al ruim 30 jaar met plastic afval. Door het afval een nieuw leven te geven, hoopt zij anderen te inspireren om bewuster om te gaan met hun eigen consumptiegedrag, want alles wat we kopen wordt uiteindelijk afval!

Carolien Adriaansche talks about her new work Kunststof 734, a site-specific piece made from plastic waste collected in The Hague, which she created especially for Voorhout Monumentaal. This talk also highlights some of her earlier works, including De Blauwe Stad at the Groninger Museum, floating cities, and new biodiversities inspired by natural history museum collections. Adriaansche has been working with plastic waste for over 30 years. By giving waste a new life, she hopes to inspire others to be more mindful of their own consumption habits—because everything we buy eventually becomes waste!
