Open Paviljoen: Vlaggen Voor Vrede I

‘De Vredesexpeditie – Vlaggen voor Vrede’ is een participatief kunstwerk in het kader van het Just Peace festival waarin Muze’s Kus via theatrale dialoog onderzoek doet naar vrede. In deze turbulente tijd, waarin het besef groeit dat vrede en veiligheid niet vanzelfsprekend zijn, stellen zij de vraag: waar heb ik invloed op vrede? De reflectie op deze vraag kan in de vorm van een tekening of enkele woorden worden gegeven op een lapje stof: een Vredesvlag. Nu er steeds meer stemmen klinken voor meer bewapening, maken de Vlaggen voor Vrede een tegenbeweging van geweldloos verzet. Begrip, verbinding en aandacht voor elkaar, zorgen ervoor dat alle stemmen gehoord worden.  

Van 12:00 tot 20:00 strijkt De Vredesexpeditie neer bij het Open Paviljoen. Daar kun je deelnemen aan een Vredesgesprek. De kunstenaars van Muze’s Kus maken samen met andere creatievelingen Vredesvlaggen. Alle stadsgenoten zijn uitgenodigd om een bijdrage te leveren aan het maken van dit Vlaggenkunstwerk. Vanaf 16.00 uur worden jonge makers van Urban Peace Projects uitgenodigd bij het Open Paviljoen, en ook Stichting Harlin zal met een bakfiets aanwezig zijn en vertellen hoe zij mensen helpen die te maken hebben met grote armoedeproblemen. Zij stellen de vraag: als er geen oorlog meer is in de wereld, is er dan ook geen armoede meer?

‘The Peace Expedition – Flags for Peace’ is a participatory artwork in the context of the Just Peace festival, in which Muze’s Kus investigates peace through theatrical dialogue. In these turbulent times, in which the realization is growing that peace and security are not self-evident, they ask the question: where can I influence peace? The reflection on this question can be given in the form of a drawing or a few words on a piece of cloth: a Peace Flag. Now that more and more voices are being raised for increasing armed defenses, the Flags for Peace are creating a counter-movement of non-violent resistance. Understanding, connection and attention for each other ensure that all voices are heard.

From 12:00 to 20:00, The Peace Expedition will appear at the Open Pavilion. There you can participate in a Peace Conversation. The artists of Muze’s Kus make Peace Flags together with other creatives. All fellow citizens are invited to contribute to the creation of this Flag artwork. From 16:00, young makers of Urban Peace Projects are invited to the Open Pavilion, and Stichting Harlin will also be present with a cargo bike to tell how they help people dealing with poverty. They ask the question: if there is no more war in the world, will there also be no more poverty?
