Is there parking available at NIO House Amsterdam?

Parking in the immediate vicinity is limited. There are paid car parks in the area, including ParkBee at Molenpad 16. NIO House Amsterdam is within walking distance of the Koningsplein tram stop (lines 1, 2, 5, 11, 12) and is easily accessible by bike.

Is the event accessible to people with disabilities?

NIO House Amsterdam has an elevator. The fourth floor is fully accessible. If you have specific questions, please contact us at justin@curatedbymadart.com.

Can I buy artworks during the opening?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Several artists will be presenting works that are available for purchase. Prices and availability will be announced at the venue and are also available on request. The catalogue will be distributed before the event begins.

Why is a donation required to register?

The contribution goes directly to MADART Foundation. The Foundation covers the production costs of the exhibition — so the makers do not have to, and their work remains accessible to a wider audience. We are not charging an entrance fee. We are asking for a contribution to something worth supporting

Where does the donation go?

To MADART Foundation. The Foundation covers the production costs of the exhibition: presentation materials, spatial design, artist fees. This allows makers to show their work without those costs being absorbed into the sale price — keeping the work accessible to more people.

Can I choose the amount?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We leave the amount open intentionally. Give what feels right for what the evening means to you.

Question 7

I was personally invited by one of the makers — do I still need to donate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The contribution applies to all guests, including those personally invited by the makers. It is not an entrance fee — it is a direct contribution to the makers themselves. We hope that feels right.
