Enjoy a dynamic program featuring orchestral, choral and concert band music in the stunning setting of the Swiss Alps. We hope to see you there!Ozark Musicians AbroadMusicians Abroad ensembles consist of student performers from the United States of America. Today’s performers come from the states of Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. Each performer you will hear today has spent many hours perfecting their musical skills.Tour preparation began nearly 19 months ago. Music educators in each region nominated their finest performers, based not only on their musical skills, but also their character and displayed leadership.The group gathered state-side for a few days of rehearsal in preparation for this once-in-a-lifetime International Music Experience!In addition to several performances while in European countries, this Musicians Abroad tour provides time for sightseeing, experiencing local culture, shopping and enjoying delicious cuisine.This is the inaugural tour for our Ozark Musicians Abroad. Students from these 3 states are united by the “Ozarks” which refers to the mountains and highlands that pass through all 3 states. Known for its pristine waterways and extensive trails through unique geographical features the Ozarks are also rich in musical heritage, warm hospitality, and a deep sense of community.Please welcome the performers and educators of the Ozark Musicians Abroad.
