Pasrah Rasa Women's Circle
A Ritual of Surrender, Trust and Inner Acceptance
Pasrah Rasa is the practice of feeling deeply and surrendering to what is. In trusting the Universe we don’t have to know everything and we relax into the present.
Dear beautiful, sensitive woman,
Maybe you're in this phase of life where you feel like something is off, but you can’t place your finger exactly on what it is. You feel anxious, restless, stuck in a situation that doesn’t feel right anymore.
Additionally, you start having doubts about everything in your life. You get into this loop of anxiety, fears and frustration, which creates an overall seemingly continuous discomfort.
You know there is something bigger inside of you that wants to be seen, that needs attention and needs to soften up. You know that if you face this, a lot will solve on its own.
In today's women's circle, let's become aware of our inner sensations, what is holding us back and what wants to come out. Let’s surrender everything to the wisdom of the Universe supported by Javanese wisdom.
The meaning of Pasrah, to surrender
In Kejawen, Javanese spirituality, Pasrah means to surrender.
However, it has a deeper meaning than to merely surrender.
It also includes:
- Faith: trusting the higher powers/Universe/God and living in harmony with the divine will.
- Active acceptance: accepting difficult situations without any resistance.
- Patience: being patient and accepting life’s rhythm, flow and processes as they are without controlling them with our will or minds.
- Inner peace: letting go of desires from the world or ego.
- Transformation: going from a state of resistance to a state of acceptance.
- Connection: always striving for harmony between you and the Universe.
What we surrender
What we are surrendering today is Gejolak Batin, the inner, emotional and mental turbulence that you sense. It is a spiritual struggle, where your Spirit or Soul (Batin) fights worldly desires or the ego. Your human self is craving attention for emotions and thoughts. It wants to be seen, felt and heard. These tire out your Soul, who is wanting to take up more space in your body.
When we are able to surrender and have peace that all we feel is life living through us, Kesadaran Sejati will come up: true consciousness and inner peace. When we turn into silence, Suwung, we can learn what truly lives inside of us. Our Rasa becomes pure, coming straight from the heart.
How do we do this?
Let’s get together in this circle to experience this challenge individually and together. Spring allows us to perceive which seeds are not germinating and which sprouts need to be fed and watered.
1. From Gejolak Batin (inner turmoil) to Rasa Sejati (inner truth) through Suwung (silence): we explore what is living inside us presently. We explore our inner truth coming from silence, inner knowing and the heart.
2. From Rasa (inner sensations) to Pasrah (surrender to faith): we give up control and our strict or judgmental selves. We trust in the greater plan of the Universe. We know the Universe knows what we desire and dream of.
Through deep Rasa, we know what we can surrender (Pasrah).
Questions to ask ourselves:
1. What is moving through me, right now?
2. What is at the core of these sensations?
3. What do I need to surrender?
4. How does the new version of myself feel after I have surrendered?
What the circle wants to give you:
* Courage to face what is inside of you, any darkness that wants to be seen, any newness that wants to come out.
* Courage to accept things for how and what they are right now.
* This huge blockage that might have been there, melting away.
* Relief that kicks in: you don’t have to do anything, push anything, or change anything.
* Faith in the universe, an acceptance of what is, inner knowing and trust.
* A knowing that from now on, things will be easier. You won’t have to work so hard anymore.
* A true grace towards yourself that you finally are able to allow.
* A connection to a group of beautiful, pure women, all walking different paths with different visions, but supporting you on your path today. Understanding you and accepting you for who you are.

Appreciation from others
“After a week of processing the ritual I just wanted to share that it really reinforced for me the importance of patience and presence. I so often find myself pulled either into the past or the future and that prevents me from being in the present creative space.
My entire trip to Amsterdam taught me that in so many ways and your ritual really helped me sit with this lesson and seal it in.
Thanks again for setting up that ritual and sharing your spiritual practices with me! I loved learning about it and it has been deeply impactful in the most gentle way.”
