EMPOWERING the road to E-xcellence

Quality approaches to the digital transformation

Universities face uncertain times redesigning their role and contribution to global challenges in a digital era. Innovative and quality approaches to the digital transformation are required to guarantee this process.

Join us to share perspectives, experiences and expertise that will help guide your institution to new developments and best practices facing these new challenges.

We invite those EADTU members involved with the EMPOWER, E-xcellence and EMBED projects to participate in a three-day meeting based on peer-learning activities. Through engaging talks, workshops and discussions, we will share ideas, difficulties and experiences, and learn about new developments.

By covering the full range of the E-xcellence framework, members of the twelve EMPOWER expert pools will highlight new developments in their fields of expertise. E-xcellence label holders and reviewers will be also invited to share their experiences. Collectively we will develop a rich repository of good practices. Finally, participants in the event will be actively involved in envisioning an empowered roadmap of improvement actions for their institutions.

EMPOWER fields of expertise:

  1. Course design & curriculum development
  2. Knowledge resources
  3. Student support
  4. Assessment, examinations and certification
  5. Institutional support - ICT, media and educational support services
  6. Quality Assurance
  7. Policy and strategy development
  8. Blended Education
  9. International education
  10. Open & flexible education
  11. Continuing education & SLP's
  12. OERs & MOOCs

Results of the event will be captured in an EADTU Message and report gathering institutional innovative practices in quality enhancement of online, open and flexible higher education. The event will be organised as ERASMUS+ staff development. EU grants provide a contribution to your costs for travel and subsistence during your time abroad.
