Ceramics, like gardening, can connect us to our creative potential, our senses, and our bodies.Working with ceramics since 2018, as both a creative and healing practice, Harriet is currently working on a variety of slab built marbled clay functional pieces that mirror some of the chaos of the world around us. This current practice, psychedelic ceramics, focuses on how nerikomi inspired techniques can produce psychedelic feeling marbling with two clay bodies. I aim for a psychedelic-trip inspired sense of flow and connection to something outside and within ourselves during the slow making process.

Join Harriet for an intimate morning making perfectly imperfect plant pots surrounded by lush greenery at Planthood. During this 2 hour workshop, they will guide you through the process of slab building and customising your very own plant pots. At the end of the session you will decide whether to fire your creations or destroy them. Firing costs an additional 15 euros to be paid at the end of the session, and delivery will be arranged within approximately 3 weeks. Pots will be bisque fired, not glazed* and we will email you to arrange delivery.

No previous experience required. All materials will be provided but please bring an apron or clothes that you don&#x27;t mind getting some clay on (just in case)!

To increase accessibility and because everyone deserves time for creative play, a limited number of pay-what-you-can tickets are available. Please email harrietsmithdesign@gmail.com to check availability.

*If you want to glaze your pot we can recommend local studios where this is possible
