About this event

As therapists and mental health professionals we dedicate a significant amount of time to cognitive processes and extensive verbal communication. This is making it beneficial at times to unwind and experience guided techniques that facilitate a shift from mental to physical awareness.

Engaging with art materials and especially clay or playdoh can encourage grounding in the body, quieting of the mind and relaxation.

The aim of this workshop, led by psychologist and registered art psychotherapist Eva Papastergiou (she/her), is to offer you some tools to invite playfulness in your everyday life as a tool for embodied self-care.

More specifically the workshop offers the chance to:

1) experience embodied art-making as a self care tool,

2) explore the role of playfulness in your life and how it can benefit your work-life balance and overall wellbeing,

3) connect with and learn from a community of like-minded therapists in the Netherlands,

4) take home some play doh to practice art-based selfcare in your own time.

This workshop is designed for practicing psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, and mental health professionals.
