POP-UP: LONG STORY SHORT

POP-UP: LONG STORY SHORT

Prinsengracht 234Amsterdam, NH
Monday, May 11-Sunday, May 17  •  11 AM-6 PM
Overview

Three makers bring together fashion, illustration and craft in the pop-up Long Story Short.

From 11 to 17 May, the pop-up exhibition Long Story Short will take place in Amsterdam at Prinsengracht 234. Three makers join forces in this temporary presentation where fashion, illustration, and craftsmanship come together. The pop-up showcases their work and the stories behind it, offering visitors the opportunity to purchase garments, shoes, and artworks.

The title Long Story Short refers to the tension in which the three creators operate: a long-term process of making and developing, driven by a continuous desire to create. Storytelling plays a central role in their work. These narratives are translated not only into objects and imagery, but also come together in temporary “stores” where their worlds intersect and connect with the public.

The makers

Lin Vermeire – RE-GARDE
After twenty years in the international fashion industry, working with brands such as Isabel Marant and Scotch & Soda, Lin Vermeire begins a new creative chapter with RE-GARDE. Her work exists at the intersection of painting, fashion, and memory. Each garment originates from her own paintings, in which moments are captured and translated into wearable forms.

Petra Lunenburg – Fashion Illustration
Petra captures the relationship between fashion, movement, and the human body through bold, expressive lines. Her style moves between speed and stillness, distilling the essence of a moment into imagery. Her work has been published in Elle, and she has collaborated with Showstudio in London and Humanoid.

Anouk Janssen – Signed by You
After a career in media and design, Anouk transitioned into fashion. With Signed by You, she creates shoes from reclaimed leather, inspired by traditional shoemaking and 1980s aesthetics. Her work focuses on reuse, craftsmanship, and a personal approach to design.

About the pop-up

Long Story Short brings these three worlds together in one space, where visitors can experience the stories behind the work and purchase garments, shoes, and artworks.

You are warmly invited to visit during the opening event or at any other time throughout the pop-up period.
