ICA Pro Colorist Class.
Pre IBC the ICA will organize a certified class for professional colorist, to talk and learn, to share and to receive.
We don’t have to tell you how to grade, so we will show solutions when ‘things' don’t work like they should. We will discuss the challenges of a professional colorist: how to get the right jobs, what can you charge, how to solve problems, that might be yours or the client. This 2 day class will consist of:  
1. How to setup your project, recreate a timeline built in; Avid, Final Cut or Premiere, and especially, what to do when it does not work. Adding VFX shots to your timeline 2. Learn about all new digital camera’s, what’s in the menu’s, what can go wrong and how to solve it. Understanding cameras is a s important as a DP understanding grading. 3. The new ‘color' workflows, working with ACES, HDR and everything the will invent into (near) futur. 4. OFX Plugins and VFX, how much should you be doing as a colorist and does the client expect it? 5. Finishing and deliverables can be very lucrative but when do we hand over to somebody else. 6. How to make money as a colorist 7. discussion about the future of our profession.

The class will be hosted by Warren Eagles and Guy Molin, and we will ask several guest teachers including world famous D.O.P. Geoff Boyle to give specialised classes. Group participation and bringing your own problem material is strongly encouraged.
