About this event

We are delighted to share with you the upcoming events in our INTERWOVEN HISTORIES public programme! With a gallery talk with Mila Lanfermeijer and Joke Robaard; an evening on rugs as storytellers, and another one on the interwoven histories of textiles and protest; a celebration of subversive stitches with the Feministische Handwerk Partij and a performance by Mounira Al Solh in collaboration with Jana Saleh, there is no need to stay at home in October.

Organizer Touch/Trace: Researching Histories Through Textiles

Organizer of Public Programme Interwoven Histories

Touch/Trace: Researching Histories Through Textiles unravels the intricate connections between textile, history and society from a contemporary art perspective. It explores how textile objects bear witness to and can transmit information about the time and place they were made in and simultaneously open up new perspectives onto those histories.
