About this event
About the workshop
Performance art & collective writing session in nature 🌱
The Plant Massage workshop is a collective experience where our senses are stimulated by the surrounding environment through play, touch and connection. An experience of plants and natural elements in a new sensual way, used as inspiration for a collective writing practice. You will be guided by the talented performance and visual artist Aubane. The workshop takes place in the beautiful and peacefully hidden garden of the "Cultuurhistorische Plantentuin" in Charlois, Rotterdam.
Whether you are an experienced writer or completely new to the medium, this space invites anyone interested in exploring collective writing and sensorial stimulation in a casual, inclusive, intimate, and supportive environment.
Individuals of any age are welcome.
🌱 About the artist:
Aubane is a research-based curator and multidisciplinary artist using self-representation and intersectional analysis. Initially exploring gender and sexuality, their practice evolved to the reframing of exoticized and classical Western aesthetics, honoring and reclaiming representations of their [working ]class and [Mediterranean] diaspora. Aubane's work is political, kitsch, colorful, humorous, sensorial and tender.
