EDWIN VAN DEN HEUVEL

Title

Health Data Portal: Fast track to innovation

Abstract

Data is the oil of the 21st century. In particular in health, it may help us discover and predict relations and patterns between life-time factors and long term health. Although this may all be true, having the proper data to our exposure is not trivial and we must organize that health data is available for analysis. The Health Data Portal (HDP) is a infrastructure project of eMTIC and the TU/e to collect and connect clinical trial data, consumer data, and routine hospital care data in one regional data hub for analytical purposes, while maintaining the privacy and security of the data. The project implements both functional and non-functional requirements. We will explain the results we have obtained so far and the plans for the future of HDP.

Title

Data stewardship at TU/e

Abstract

Data stewardship stands for the whole of various tasks and responsibilities that relate to the management of data during the various phases of the entire research lifecycle. H2020, NWO, ZonMW and others demand data management during and after research. GDPR and AVG legislations demand state of the art privacy and security. TU/e has started implementing data stewardship and support from data stewards. This talk will focus on the task and responsibilities of data stewardship and the available support options.
