Remapping Collaborations

Nieuwe Instituut is het nationale museum voor architectuur, design en digitale cultuur. Nieuwe Instituut houdt zich bezig met de grote ontwikkelingen in de maatschappij, zoals de krapte op de woningmarkt, de energietransitie, de opkomst van kunstmatige intelligentie, mobiliteit of het gebruik van de publieke ruimte. Ontwerpers, waaronder architecten en digitale makers, kunnen aan die ontwikkelingen een belangrijke bijdrage leveren. Nieuwe Instituut toont het werk van ontwerpers, brengt mensen met elkaar in contact, verzamelt, ontwikkelt en deelt kennis.

In work sessions, they will research how past and present biennale models are related and also inspect the subject of international collaboration and cooperation.

<h3>S﻿peakers</h3>The speakers for this event are part of The Working Group consists of Yin Aiwen (practicing designer, design theorist and project developer), Ali T. As’ad (curator, architect and member of the Curatorial Research Collective), Nishat Awan (architect and lecturer in architecture at University of Sheffield), Anja Groten (designer, researcher, educator and member of the Hackers &amp; Designers collective) and RESOLVE COLLECTIVE: Akil Scafe-Smith and Seth Scafe-Smith (interdisciplinary design collective). This Working Group is facilitated by the Nieuwe Instituut researchers Setareh Noorani and Delany Boutkan, and supported by Joyce Hanssen (Agency, Nieuwe Instituut), Roxanne Minten and Mireille de Koning (Internationalisation, Creative Industries Fund).
