The Masterclasses are part of the World Energy Congress Side Activities.Join us for an enlightening rendezvous with energy experts and learn the ingredients needed for a sustainable energy future for generations to come. This pre-event will set the scene and prepare you for<a href="https://worldenergycongress.org/rotterdam/" title="https://worldenergycongress.org/rotterdam/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> the 26th World Energy Congress</a>, giving you some foundational information about the Congress's thematic areas in a way that is simplified, easy to understand, and relatable to you as a citizen or student.In this half-day journey alongside industry experts, you will delve into the practical realms of energy. Discover what it truly means to become a solution enabler and explore pathways to participate, contribute, or pursue a career in the dynamic field of energy. Our masterclasses promise an enriching exploration spanning from cutting-edge technology and innovation to meaningful citizen engagement.

Audience: This Masterclass series is tailored to students, citizens, and energy enthusiasts seeking to broaden their knowledge of energy. This year, the congress theme revolves around "Redesigning Energy for People and Planet," with a focused exploration of the following themes: <ul><li>Navigating New Energy Maps: Bridging the emerging realities of global energy transitions.</li><li>Refuelling the Future: Leveraging a diverse mix of energy sources, solutions, and services.</li><li>Humanising Energy: Engaging people and communities in driving global energy transitions.</li><li>Pathfinding with the World Energy Trilemma: Connecting energy security, affordability, and sustainability.</li><li>Closing the Gaps: Enabling faster, fairer, and more inclusive energy transitions.</li></ul>Our Masterclasses have been meticulously crafted to offer foundational knowledge on topics that align with the thematic areas of the main Congress. Throughout our sessions, participants will engage in dynamic discussions and hands-on activities specifically tailored to connect these themes with real-world applications, ensuring an engaging experience enriched with insights from seasoned experts.

ObjectivesEmpowerment of Future Leaders: Demystify the conversation around energy, making it relatable and easy to understand. Provide foundational knowledge to inspire and motivate students and citizens to become agents of change in the transition towards sustainable energy solutions.Community Engagement: Engage citizens and students by providing them with the practical information necessary to contribute effectively to the energy sector, whether through employment, entrepreneurship, or advocacy. Foster a sense of community involvement and ownership in sustainable energy initiatives.Networking Opportunities: Facilitate networking opportunities among participants, experts, and industry professionals to encourage collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the exchange of ideas.Build momentum toward the main Congress: Create anticipation and enthusiasm for the main Congress by leveraging the masterclass series to generate interest and engagement in the overarching themes and discussions." We have exciting news! We will be giving away up to 6 free Congress tickets through a raffle draw at the event. Students who register will automatically be included in the draw. Raffle winners will be announced during the closing remarks segment of the agenda.
