Chem Together #22 - Renewable Fuels & Green Chemistry: A Game-Changing Synergy?
Join Platform Hernieuwbare Brandstoffen, Groene Chemie Nieuwe Economie, and Amsterdam Chemistry Network on July 3rd for a pivotal event exploring the collaboration between the chemical and renewable fuel sectors.
Green chemistry offers long-term value but faces unfair competition from fossil-based alternatives, and struggles to scale. Renewable fuels, essential for short-term transport de-fossilization, struggle with global market disparities, and limited investor interest due to their temporary role. But as the saying goes: "One man's problem is another man's opportunity."
Policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators will discuss synergies and strategies for building a competitive green production cluster in the Netherlands, by linking short-term biofuel/e-fuels investments to long-term green chemistry development, integrating feedstock supply chains, and building sustainable infrastructure.
The program includes expert presentations, networking opportunities, and a unique chance to visit innovative (demo) sites of ChainCraft and Argent Energy in the Port of Amsterdam.
Cancellation Terms
To ensure that every seat is used and the opportunity is not wasted, we’re implementing a no-show fee policy. Attendance is free, but if you register and do not attend—or cancel less than 7 days before the event—you will be charged €50.
This helps us ensure all seats are filled and that those on the waiting list get a chance to attend.

***Morning session***
10.00-12.00 (accessible by invitation for game-changers and financiers)– How to unlock more risk capital for scaling up green chemistry?
GCNE launched the moonshot to unlock more risk capital for scale-up green chemistry. During this session, we will discuss the results of the research conducted by Transition Finance Network under the direction of GCNE and partners (InvestNL, ROMs, KGG, NGF BBC, RFO, entrepreneurs).
