Overview Want to take action for farmed animals? Join us to raise awareness about hens kept in cages for eggs around Farmfoods in Openshaw!Farmfoods is still using caged hens for its eggs, even though many other supermarkets have already moved to higher-welfare, cage-free systems. Hens in cages are unable to carry out natural behaviours, suffer from poor health, and live in cramped conditions. We’re asking Farmfoods to follow the lead of other retailers and transition away from caged hens as soon as possible.What to Expect:<ul><li>Meet near Farmfoods, Lime Square, 18 Ashton Old Road, Openshaw, Manchester, M11 1DA at 12:00pm.</li><li>I’ll introduce myself and share a bit about THL UK before we start leafleting.</li><li>We’ll distribute leaflets locally to residential properties.</li><li>All materials are provided—you just need to dress for the weather.</li><li>After the event, we can grab some vegan food together if people are up for it!</li></ul>Why Attend:<ul><li>Meet a great group of like-minded individuals.</li><li>Make a real difference in raising awareness and reducing animal suffering.</li><li>Open to anyone who cares about ending the abuse of farmed animals—you don’t need to be a current volunteer or even vegan.</li></ul>Accessibility: We’ve chosen a site that should be wheelchair accessible.
